AS «Nitrofert» is the only mineral fertilizer producer in Estonia

The plant comprising the production of synthetic ammonia and urea started its operation in 1969. After a while, on the basis of this enterprise, the AS «Nitrofert» was established and in 2014 it merged into OSTCHEM coordinating four major chemical enterprises in Ukraine.

AS «Nitrofert» completely covers Estonian agricultural producers’ demand for aqueous ammonia. The plant’s annual exports to Western Europe amount to 100% of ammonia and nearly 90% of urea.

Today the enterprise employs about 500 people including 95 engineers and technicians. The «Nitrofert» Management promotes the employees’ development through the realization of regular educational programs targeted to develop professional competence and skills.

One of the enterprise’s key business directions is implementation of the Environmental Performance Program aimed at economic and environmental production efficiency ensuring.

Enterprise’s experts have developed and implemented the integrated quality management system in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 standards. This quality management system was certified by the International Company Lloyd`s Register Quality Assurance Limited (LRQA) in October, 2007.
